I’ve been a regular at this fish and chips takeaway for quite some time now, and I can safely say it never disappoints! The quality of their food is consistently top-notch. I especially love their batter – it's perfectly crispy without being too oily. The chips are thick-cut and just the way I like them. The portion sizes are very generous, and I often find myself sharing with friends because there’s just so much food! The only thing I would suggest is maybe offering some more vegetarian options; while they do have a few, it would be great to see a more extensive range. But honestly, even if you’re not a fish lover, the place is worth a visit just for the chips alone!

I stumbled upon this fish and chips takeaway while exploring the town and decided to give it a try, and I must say, I was pleasantly surprised! The staff were welcoming and efficient, making the ordering process smooth and quick. I ordered a haddock fillet with a side of mushy peas. The fish was fabulously fresh and had a wonderful batter – crispy and light without being greasy at all. The portion size was generous, and I appreciated how the peas were nicely seasoned, adding a lovely touch to the meal. I also loved how they offered a variety of condiments, from classic vinegar to some unique dipping sauces. One downside, however, was that the indoor seating was limited, so it can get a bit crowded if you decide to eat in. Still, the quality of the food more than made up for it. I’m certainly going back for more and would recommend it to anyone looking for delicious fish and chips!

I decided to try their cod and chips, and I was blown away by how generous the portion sizes were. The fish was cooked to perfection – golden and crispy on the outside, yet flaky and moist inside. The chips were thick-cut and equally crispy, with a hint of seasoning that made them irresistible. I also appreciated the variety of sauces available; I opted for tartar sauce, which was creamy and tangy, complementing the fish beautifully. The staff were friendly and efficient, taking my order with a smile and ensuring my meal was ready in no time. My only minor quibble would be the seating options; while it’s mainly a takeaway, a few more benches outside would have provided a lovely spot to enjoy the meal. Nevertheless, I can't wait to return for another helping. If you're in the area and fancy a classic British dish done exceptionally well, this place is a must-visit!
